Grow-A-Row

People with gardens are encouraged to "grow a row" for donation to the Gleaners food bank. How does "grow a row" work? Plant one row in your garden with whatever you wish - it may be one crop, or a mixture. When it is time to harvest you can take what you have grown to Gleaners and drop it off at the food bank. The food bank is open Tuesday and Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm as is located at 807 Canyon Street (rear) in Creston.

If you don't have time to clean your contribution, don't worry, they will do it for you. Do not be concerned that there may be too much produce as it will get canned or dried and distributed that way. If you have large donations of fruits or vegetables please contact the Gleaners in advance for delivery instructions. They can be reached at 250-428-4166 or email cvgleaners@uniserve.com. Visit their web site at www.crestonbc.com/gleaners.
